Thanks to Barry Grey for this gentle sweet little girl. I have waited it seems like forever for my own black girl and I feel very lucky to have been offered this sweet little girl. Ebony is now a Champion, having gained her title at the Yorkshire Cat Club Show in 2008, the third of three CC's in straight shows (she even let Bob show her at that show as I was busy that weekend). I am now waiting for her to call so that she can have her first litter. However, I may be waiting some time as she has decided to become Trouble's surrogate mum, even to the point of letting the "little one" suckle. Let's just hope that she is as good when she has babies of her own to feed.
Thanks to Tom and Rosemary Cassar-Simmonds for this very confident, naughty, attention seeking and very very loving young lady! When this girl came to stay with us she only had eyes for one man.......... my husband Bob, hence he named her "M" (for - Mine).
These two girls are the "terrible twins" of our household! They are into anything and everything, as I sit here typing this they are both trying to use the keyboard! Mind you, since we (I) decided to keep Trouble from Star's second litter, they have had some serious competition in the mischief stakes.
"M in the Jungle"
Earlier this year M was asked if she would like to go on the reality TV show I'm a celebrity, get me out of here. When she heard that Joe Swash was going she was seriously tempted because she likes East Enders, but when they told her that George Takei was also going she said that even though they might share some ethnic origins she would prefer to stay home and make babies with Rocky (see the Kitten nursery page for more news about how that went). Apart from that Australia is so far away and the thought of that bush tucker replacing fresh fish, chicken and better quality cat food was too much, so George has just had to make do with giving Joe the occasional hug and kiss.
(Just in case you were wondering, this photo was taken in the summer of 2008 in a totally enclosed section of our garden. When the weather permits they all love the freedom of the great "Outback" without the dangers. More pictures when the weather improves.)
M found lying down on the job again, baby sitting one of Star's kittens.
M's dad, JJ, died in a tragic accident on 14th January 2009, barely 3 years old. We were lucky enough to meet this fine young man and also to be trusted with looking after his daughter. Our thoughts are with Tom and Rosemary and we, along with so many others who knew JJ, share their loss.
Cinders is now pregnant, she was mated by Percy (GRCH Mylynn Master Of Disguise) a super seal point boy. Her babies will be due around 30th October 2009.
